The first pistol produced in Germany after WWI and still in production at the end of WWII. It was very popular with German staff officers and returning G.I.s. Commercially made in a lightweight model. There appear to be three variations: internal extractor with takedown latch in front of the trigger guard; external extractor with same latch; and external extractor with no latch.
