First introduced in 1913 without a model designation, this pistol became known as the 1913 Model, 1914 Model and Old Model. The breech block is housed in a tube, a unique design at the time. This is a reliable and well made pistol that has stood the test of time. Prized by shooters and collectors, it was discontinued because of design advances by the maker. Many of the features are patented Sauer designs, including assembly cap on the slide lock with rear sight catch. The late model has a fixed rear sight blade on top of the slide.
