Made by Plainfield Ordnance Company, Middlesex, New Jersey in two models: 71A Convertible .22 LR and .25 ACP pistol with a barrel under two inches, stainless steel frame and slide. Model 72 is the same pistol with a barrel under four inches and an aluminum slide. Pistol appears to be well made with checkered walnut grips. Conversion unit consists of a chambered barrel, bolt with firing pin and magazine. Made in the 1970s, few were produced. The original price of the conversion kit was $90.00.
