French M1935A w/Lanyard Cut Pistol

Adopted in 1936, this is one of several autoloaders issued by France during and after WW II. Externally a Browning design with some very non-Browning internal modifications by Charles G. Petter. This pistol uses a proprietary cartridge that has no U.S. equivalent but will sometimes function with .32 ACP. Manufactured by Societ. Alsacienne de Constructions Mechanique at Cholet, France, the initials SACM are commonly used. Some models have lanyard loops.
