Introduced in 1902, this model had two major changes from the 1900 model. The butt was lengthened and squared so that the magazine would hold eight rounds, and a slide stop operated by the magazine follower was added. In 1908 a spur hammer was added. There were approximately 18,000 of this model produced with slight variations.
