At the beginning of WWI, the French army found itself woefully short of weapons and authorized soldiers to privately purchase pistols of the "Ruby" design. This .32 ACP pistol was produced by Azanza y Arrizabalaga of Eibar, Spain and in 1914 became a secondary French military pistol. It is also know as the Reims.
